GRANT GUIDE & PROGRESS REPORT
OUR GRANT-MAKING
The Richmond Memorial Health Foundation seeks to be stewards over its invested assets in order to fund health-related projects making a significant impact on the communityparticularly those that address unmet health care needs.
The Foundation currently has four primary areas of emphasis:
- Aging and Alzheimers
- Nursing and Other Health Education
- Womens and Childrens Health
- Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center
These four areas of emphasis will continue to be evaluated and refined to serve the communitys needs.
Grant applications are accepted only from not-for-profit, tax-exempt health and health care related organizations serving the residents of Richmond and central Virginia.
Grants are generally considered on a biannual basis, and may be awarded for either operating or capital projects for one or more grant years.
Every applicant is required to build outcome measurements into its proposal to evaluate progress and impact. Wherever possible, grantees are asked to share their results or findings with other groups so that they might better serve their own constituents through the sharing of knowledge.
BEYOND THE DOLLARS
Through the work of its trustees and staff, Richmond Memorial Health Foundation seeks to be a catalyst for improving health and health care in the community. Richmond Memorial Health Foundation seeks to bring together not-for-profit health-related organizations that complement one another in order to strengthen the communitys ability to address targeted needs. In keeping with our legacy of caring, trustees and staff often offer intellectual capital above and beyond grants, providing insight and contacts in an effort to enhance an organizations ability to achieve its goals.
