A program to address health and racial equity in the Richmond built environment

Research and Data Analysis

Invest Health RVA funded a Market Value Analysis to create a real estate map that identifies opportunities for equitable development and a pipeline of bankable real estate options where investments will benefit low-income populations.

Policy and Education

The Invest Health RVA team convened experts to assess existing public policy around affordable housing in the region and identify gaps in research and knowledge that should be addressed in order to pursue effective strategies for equitable development.

Community Engagement and Outreach

The Invest Health RVA team engaged a broader spectrum of the community in efforts to foster equity and improved health in neighborhoods, and build support for sustainable activism and engagement.

Connect Capital

A two-year initiative to attract and deploy capital at scale to improve residents’ health and increase their access to opportunity. The Richmond team is specifically working to increase the rate of development and preservation of housing affordable to residents living in poverty.
